Mohawk Valley Featured Farm: Post St. Farm

Once again we are so pleased to share with you another local Mohawk Valley Farm! Post St. Farm located in Franklin Springs, Oneida County, NY, is a small-scale farm in Upstate NY that grows produce and flowers with organic, regenerative practices since 2019.

About Post St. Farm

John and Allie Howard operate Post St. Farm located Franklin Springs, just outside of Utica right here in the Mohawk Valley. Both grew up in the region and farming has always been a passion of theirs.

What started out as a few raised garden beds has blossomed into a less a than 2-acre farm growing a variety of heirloom vegetables, salad greens and unique flowers.

In their own words,

Post St. Farm has been a few years in the making. Each season comes with its challenges and subsequent lessons. We’ve learned how to grow our own food, and we love sharing our produce with our community. We’re cultivating a diverse market garden and farm stand for all to enjoy. We look forward to sharing our love for fresh, local produce with you!

We offer farm fresh eggs from our chickens and produce when it’s in season from our gardens including a variety of herbs, veggies, sweet corn, garlic and many others as they become available.

Bouquet Bar Whether it’s for bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties or fundraisers, Bouquet Bars are on-trend and we are all about it. Our DIY Bouquet Bar gives your guests a hands-on floral experience and a beautiful party favor to take home. We will pick a mix of our best seasonal flowers and foliage our farm has to offer at the time of your event, deliver to your location in a decor-neutral display and provide drop-in bouquet wraps.

Event flowers: Let us make your event pop with beautiful flowers from our farm. We offer a variety of services for weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, elopements, and more.

Post St. Farm offers both a Summer Flower and Tulip Subscription. You could enjoy six weeks of summertime delight featuring a mix of snapdragons, zinnias, celosia, amaranth, feverfew, gomphrena, strawflower and more! Subscriptions are sold out for this season.

How to find Post St. Farm

1. Clinton Farmers Market Thursdays 10:00am until 4:00pm; Find everything we have in season on the village green. We come stocked with our signature greens, veggies and flowers!
2. Old Forge Farmers Market: We’re so excited to join the Old Forge Farmers Market this season! Come see us on Fridays beginning June 21 from 1-5 p.m. at 201 North Street in Old Forge. We love the Adirondacks and can’t wait to add this vibrant market to our roster.
3. Veggie CSA If you love local, sustainably grown produce, add a weekly box of our veggies to your family’s meal plan. While our CSA list is closed for the season, you can join our newsletter on our website to receive updates on our Virtual Farmstand offerings and CSA availability for next year.
4. Virtual Farmstand; Ordering open Sundays-Thursdays, Pickups on Saturdays. Shop our seasonal goods online. Choose how and when to receive your order. Consider your fridge stocked. Shop now!
