Mohawk Valley Featured Farm: The Plaid Farm Store

Once again we are so pleased to share with you another local Mohawk Valley Farm! Owner and operator Erika Gogis, a second-generation farmer herself, opened the store in 2021. Her goal is to provide the community with fresh products and goods while connecting consumers with the folks who grow their food!

The Plaid Farm Store has a wide variety of local products from local farmers and small businesses. Their goal is to provide our community with fresh products and goods from local producers and small businesses. The Plaid Farm Store has daily deliveries of fresh baked goods, milk, beef, pork and more! Please mark July 28th on your calendar as the Plaid Farm Store will be participating in the 3rd Annual Farm to Table Tour!

In her own words,

I started a beef herd right up the road from Creek Acres Farm and that is what really got my wheels turning to open a store. I have this awesome, local product and I really wanted to share it will my community. I opened The Plaid Farm Store in July of 2021 and I haven’t turned back. Everyday we connect consumers with the folks who grow their food! From bakery goods to dairy products and produce, small businesses across Montgomery County have been able to expand their own customer base through the store.

The Plaid Farm Store is a self-serve store filled with products from local farmers and small businesses. The store has proven to be an ideal spot for travelers. In order to accommodate all of our customers, the store is open 7 days a week and 24 hours a day.

The Plaid Farm Store strives to be more than just a meat, milk and eggs kind of stand. We want to engage the community and link our neighbors with local products.

2. Celebrating the official start of summer – Lemonade is now available while supplies last.

1. The store is open 24/7! You can stop by anytime – day or night
2. The store is female owned and operated! Erika Gogis not only helps run Bittersweet Farm with her fiance, a second-generation farmer, she also started the store back in July 2021!
3. Featured this week only the store will be offering fresh chicken! Whole and half chicken as well as chicken breast and legs will be for sale.
