Fulton County CRG to Host Table at Business Expo on March 21

To be held at the HFM BOCES Conference Center from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

GLOVERSVILLE, NY – President and CEO Ronald Peters of the Fulton County Center for Regional Growth (CRG) announced the economic development organization will host a table at the upcoming Business Expo & Annual Awards Celebration hosted by the Fulton-Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce on March 21st from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the HFM BOCES Conference Center, 2755 State Highway 67, Johnstown.

“Small businesses are the key to the economic growth of all communities. They are our driving force, and they are our neighbors, friends, and families. We try to support them whenever we can,” said Peters. “We will have information available at our table showcasing CRG and what services we provide to assist businesses.”

Information will also be available on the upcoming round of business classes that will be held for the CDBG Microenterprise Grant Program. The grant program assists small businesses and is awarded to Fulton County from the state Housing and Community Renewal agency (HCR). Administered by CRG, small businesses can receive grants of up to $25,000 to assist with startup or expansion costs, which create jobs. Since CRG started running the program, over 250 Fulton County participants have taken the classes with 52 awarded grants totaling just over $1 million.
