Gloversville Food Truck Fridays to be held June 28

Glove Theatre to Host “American Graffiti” Movie and Related Activities During the Lunchtime Event

GLOVERSVILLE, NY – The 2024 Gloversville Food Truck Fridays continues Friday, June 28, at Castiglione Park on North Main Street, and for this date food vendors will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“There will be music by Kyle Rix, food available for purchase from Nibbles & Bites, Teddy’s Gyros, Parkside Hot Dogs, and Jammin’ Juice Bar. Several non-profit organizations will also have tables in the park to share their information,” said Jennifer Donovan, Gloversville Downtown Development Specialist at the Fulton County Center for Regional Growth.

This is a joint venture sponsored by the Gloversville Recreation Commission and Fulton County Center for Regional Growth. Music sponsors this year include Price Chopper-Market 32 and First Choice Financial Credit Union, with special assistance provided by Great Rentals for the program set-up.

Eric Vetro, Celebrity Vocal Coach to the Stars

In addition to enjoying food trucks and lunch in the park, a special event honoring Gloversville High School graduate and “Celebrity Vocal Coach to the Stars,” Eric Vetro, will be held across the street from Castiglione Park at The Glove Theater, 42 N. Main St. A city proclamation will be presented to Vetro at noon. The theater will show the movie “American Graffiti” at 2 p.m. with a special video message from actor, director, and movie producer Ron Howard being played before the movie for the Gloversville High School Class of 1974 as the 50-year class reunion is being celebrated that weekend. The concession stand will be open for the event and classic hot rod cars will be on display outside the theater.

Gloversville Mayor to issue Proclamation of Gratitude to Eric Vetro – 12:00 p.m. Vetro to be Key speaker at Gloversville High School Graduation – 7:00 p.m. The Glove Theatre to air 1973 Movie at 2:00 p.m. – American Graffiti. Ron Howard (Actor/Movie Producer) has special message to Gloversville High School Class of 1974 as 50-Year Class Reunion being celebrated. ***Weather Pending – Classic 1950’s/60’s Car(s) on Display plus  Food Truck.

Eric recently created a $15,000 dollar scholarship (first of it’s kind and magnitude) to a Gloversville High School Senior who has excelled in Music, Drama or the Arts. Eric Vetro returns to Gloversville for his 50-Year High School Reunion and to speak to the Gloversville High School Class of 2024 Friday evening June 28 at 7:00 p.m.
