Herkimer College hosts Art of the Valley 2024 Collaborative

The Cogar Gallery at Herkimer College showcases Art of the Valley 2024 Collaborative featuring artists’ work from throughout the Mohawk Valley.

The Art of the Valley 2024 Collaborative exhibit features artists from The Arts Factory of Montgomery County and the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts. This the first time the two organizations have showcased their artists’ work in together in a single exhibit.

“This is a fantastic exhibition that showcases the rich and diverse artworks being made in our community,” Herkimer College Associate Professor of Studio Art Justin Como said. “The exhibition is in collaboration with The Arts Factory of Montgomery County and the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts. Art is very much alive in the Mohawk Valley.”

Nonprofit organizations support the Mohawk Valley arts community.

The Art of the Valley 2024 Collaborative showcases the artists from nonprofit organizations supporting the arts in the Mohawk Valley. The Arts Factory of Montgomery County supports, encourages and cultivates local arts, artisans and venues of the Mohawk Valley of New York State. Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts is located in Little Falls, NY, and promotes and facilitates the arts for residents of the Mohawk Valley.

The Cogar Gallery at Herkimer College

Named for the late George and Ann Cogar, friends and active supporters of Herkimer College, the Cogar Gallery is the ideal location for this collaborative exhibition. The Cogar Gallery is located in the Robert McLaughlin College Center at the state’s top ranked community college overlooking the scenic Mohawk Valley.

The exhibition will run through Friday, March 22. The Cogar Gallery is open to the public free of charge, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday when the College is open.
