Insolent Willies performing at Schoharie Crossing

Saturday, August 12th at 3:00PM, Yankee Hill Lock

Fort Hunter, NY – The Friends of Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site are excited to announce a 2023 ROCK the LOCK music event at Yankee Hill Lock on Queen Anne Road.  Yankee Hill is an historic Erie Canal lock that will be the location for a performance by the Insolent Willies on Saturday, August 12th at 3:00PM.

We’ll be rockin’ at Yankee Hill Lock with the Insolent Willies, who are an upstate New York-based acoustic roots-rock band known for their hip-shaking mix of quirky, clever original music and unpredictable covers. The band’s current lineup includes, Bill Ackerbauer (guitar, harmonica, fiddle), Frank DeVer Pullen (bass, mandolin, banjo), Paul Gavry (accordion, fiddle).

Twice nominated for Capital Region “Eddie” Awards as Country/Bluegrass Band of the Year, The Insolent Willies perform around upstate New York from the Catskills to the Adirondacks and occasionally in Vermont and Western Massachusetts.

This is a free event open to the public.  Saratoga Arts made this program possible through the Community Arts Regrant Program, funded by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
