Herkimer, NY — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Herkimer County (CCE Herkimer) is pleased to announce the promotion of Jennifer Collins to the position of Association Issue Leader/Assistant Director, reflecting both her longstanding leadership and her expanding role within the organization.

Jennifer Collins

Jennifer Collins is a respected leader within the Cornell Cooperative Extension system and has served the youth of Herkimer County for 28 years, particularly through her work in youth development. Her contributions to the 4-H program have earned recognition not only across New York State but also nationally among youth development professionals. Most recently, she was selected as a planner for the 2027 National 4-H Conference, to be held in Buffalo.

In her new position Jennifer will take on increased responsibility for organizational leadership, program coordination, and administrative oversight. To further strengthen her capacity in these areas, Collins recently earned a Master of Science degree in Food and Agribusiness from SUNY Morrisville.

“Jennifer’s promotion is a natural and well-earned progression,” said Garet Livermore, Executive Director of CCE Herkimer. “Her leadership, professionalism, and commitment to our mission have made a lasting impact on our organization and the communities we serve. This new role will further position her to help guide CCE Herkimer through an important period of growth and transition.”

With nearly three decades of nonprofit management experience, organizational leadership affirms that Collins fully meets the qualifications for the Association Issue Leader/Assistant Director position. Her promotion is expected to strengthen the organization as it continues to expand programming and prepare for future operational changes.
