This much loved regional event features garlic growers, herb and produce vendors, fine artisans, food product vendors, festival cuisine and nonprofit organizations. Entertainment abounds all day with music from Garlic.Band, local musician Ari Marucci, and Annie & the Hedonists will be back for the festival’s 20th year celebration.
Visitors will enjoy free horse-drawn carriage rides along the canal in addition to educational demos. Shuttle buses are available with stops at Vincent’s Manufacturing, Hansen Island, Industrial Park Fishing Access, and 5 Axis Motorsports. Check out the MVGHF.com website for all of the details!

City of Amsterdam Hosts ItaliaFest
Get ready for some great food and lots of fun beginning at 11am on Amsterdam’s South Side.
“As important as great food, great music and vendors are to Amsterdam’s Italiafest, the secret to why it’s a great festival are the great people who attend it and I’m looking forward to seeing them there on Saturday!” said Mayor Mike Cinquanti. “Getting to and from this year’s event will be much easier thanks to the CDTA free shuttles serving three different parking sights. So, I urge everyone to take advantage of them! I also want to thank River Ridge Living Center for their generosity in sponsoring this wonderful event for our city.”
