Mohawk Valley Fall Foliage
Fall Foliage Changes Begin
This week marks the first official week of the fall foliage tracking by I Love NY. Week 1 report:
First Significant color changes reported in Adirondacks and Catskills. Foliage change in other regions like the Mohawk Valley at 5% or less. We are seeing some leaves changing colors and the first few leaves falling.
Living Through the Seasons
One of the many benefits of being in the Mohawk Valley is being part of the seasons throughout the year. Each change of season shows us the wonders of the life cycles of all the plants, animals and wildlife in the Mohawk Valley. We are part of this seasonal cycle with the changes of the seasons guiding our lives as well. The leaves changing color as well as the lowering temps are visual and physical indicators of the change of season. (Sweata-Weatha)
Thinking back to the awakening of Spring and the renewed life it brings, followed by the warm days of Summer filled with being outdoors making memories with friends and family. Autumn now shows us it’s it time to bring in the harvest, prepare for the coming months, and reflect on the lessons the past seasons have taught us.
Autumn is also the wonderful time of the year to get out and enjoy the beauty of the Mohawk Valley. The landscape changes from green to yellow, brilliant orange and bright red of the trees throughout the Mohawk Valley.
