A big shout out to Downtown Gloversville for sending their local events to us! They truly support local organizations by sharing what’s happening in their neck of the woods.  At the other end of the Mohawk Valley, The Tremontane Cafe in Utica continues to host live, creative and entertaining events!

We also want to welcome St. Johnsville to our Weekend Highlights Post! Shout out to St. Johnsville and we’re looking forward to Earth Day in St. J!

St. Johnsville is going all out with their Earth Day Clean-up event. Many fun activities will be included:

This community-wide event will include vendors, food trucks entertainment and fun activities. This looks to be an other great St. Johnsville community event.

Earth Day at St. J is hosted by the community groups Friends of St. Johnsville and the Green Samaritans of St. Johnsville.

Rob Fish will be hosting a stellar comedy showcase featuring six hilarious Stand-Up stand-outs. Rob is an amazing comedic performer and has really honed his craft. We’re looking forward to a fun and lively evening of honest to goodness hearty laughs. Show starts at 7pm, it’s a low-cover charge of $8 and sure-to-be a good time.

The TRAMONTANE CAFE is “a coffeehouse cafe with vegan, vegetarian and some gluten free options…we also serve meat/deli products as well! Serving all traditional coffeehouse fare as well as in-house baked goods made by staff.

Dungeons and Dragons

Just a few spots left to join in the Dungeons and Dragons at the Tramonte Cafe!

Looking for adventure? Wanting to know what this D&D thing is all about? Then make sure to check out the Tramontane Cafe on April 20th. For $25, you get a one-shot adventure, a set of lucky dice, and $10 credit towards a meal. Call 315-790-5113 to pre-register. Limited seats!

Events happening in Gloversville

The Glove Theatre hosts Two Weekend Events!

Trivia Night

Get ready for a a fun-filled evening of TRIVA hosted by Mike Maricondi (The Glove Theatre) and Patti Noble (WENT Radio)! Teams of four will compete in FIVE rounds of questions, with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners! Door prizes, raffle baskets, and MORE!!

Concessions & bar will be open. Teams will be limited, so pre-registration is required for this event! Register here!

The Refrigerators!

The 518 Concert Series continues with 518 favorites, The Refrigerators on Saturday April 20, 2024. With an unprecedented 26-years of experience and over 2,400 shows, The Refrigerators have consistently delivered high-energy performances in the northeast region. The Refrigerators, the original horn fueled party band in the Capital district, continue to be one of the most sought after bands around! Must be 21+ to drink with valid I.D.

Downtown Gloversville is a grassroots effort focusing on “urban revitalization through business retention and expansion, placemaking, and enhancing the quality of life for the greater Gloversville community.”

2nd Annual 420 Pre-game Earth Day

Also in Gloversville, it’s time for the 2nd Annual 420 Pre-game Earth Day at Trail Station Park on Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bags, gloves and lunch provided. This family-friendly event will have pre-rolls, edibles and seeds available for adult participants.

A Dorn Space Double Header on April 19 at 7:00 p.m.

A Dorn Space doubleheader with co-headlining guitar heroes, Joe Phillips and Warren Sieme performing individually on the same evening. Singer/songwriter and Neo-Classical/Jazz Fusion/Metal acoustic guitar player, Joe Phillips has been entertaining folks for decades with his homespun riffs and original tunes. Warren Sieme’s music resonates with the unmistakable vibe of the ’70s singer/songwriter genre. His latest album titled, The Beginning of Now, is a fusion of contemporary folk and popular music. Admission is $10 (cash/door only). Tickets may be reserved in advance by emailing dornspace@gmail.com. Doors open at 6:15 pm.

Rock Valley Brewing in Little Falls

On Saturday night, get ready for some great live music with Taken at Rock Valley Brewing. Doors open at 7pm.

Rock Valley Brewing Company is a family friendly craft brewery and Wine Tasting Room. With live music every Saturday they offer a variety of house-brewed beer, local spirits, hard ciders and soft drinks. They often have a food truck, but welcome you to bring in outside food. Rock Valley Brewing Company is located in the historic Canal Place district of Little Falls, NY.
