We love finding out about your events that are happening all across the Mohawk Valley! This weekend, June 7-9, we’re happy to highlight events in Dolgeville, Little Falls, Clinton, Mohawk and more.

Special shout out to Dolgeville with this weekend’s Violet Festival!

In its 25th year, “the Dolgeville Violet Festival is not just a one-time event during the summer, but a year-round effort by the residents of Dolgeville. The Violet Festival preserves the historical aspects of the Village of Dolgeville through the use of innovative, artistic, and educational displays throughout the year. There is an emphasis on the communities’ rich horticultural history, which culminates with the annual Dolgeville Violet Festival…”

The Festival draws more than 75 vendors, 80 organizations that participate in the parade, and over 10,000 people to the Village during the three-day event.

Lyndon Lyon lived in Dolgeville until his death in 1999 and developed about 800 hybrid varieties of the African violet. This helped popularize its use as a houseplant. Lyon’s greenhouse in Dolgeville still operates and is known for violets and orchids, and Dolgeville’s annual Violet Festival commemorates him.

Little Falls Pride Celebration

On July 6, 2021, city mayor, Mark Blask, made a proclamation before the Common Council at City Hall declaring the 2nd Saturday in June as the official Little Falls Pride! This year’s event will be fun for all!

This is a public event and there will be photography taken by our volunteers, the media, and attendees.

Friday, June 7

Proud & Loud Party | Kickoff event (18+ only) at LF Elks Lodge (7pm-11pm)

Saturday, June 8

Pride Stride 5K | Footrace through downtown LF (9am)
Pride Celebration | Music, entertainment, food, vendors, etc. in Burke Park (10am-4pm)
Pride After Party | Meet up (21+ only) at The Renaissance (6pm)

Outreach will host guest speakers, performances, music, food, activities, lawn games, support and love. This all-ages event is a great way to bring awareness to our LGBTQIA+ community and stand together in solidarity.

Clinton First Friday

Friday, June 7

Join the local merchants of the Village of Clinton on every First Friday, June – September from 6-8pm for live music, late night shopping, and a food truck! Bring a chair, your appetite, and your wallet – come out and enjoy the summer! Rain or shine.

Play Date Plus

Friday, June 7

Bring your kids 3 years and younger on Friday, Jun 7 at 10:15am to the Little Falls Library to read a story, sing songs, do a craft and have fun! The Library is located at 10 Waverly Place in Little Falls, NY.

The Spitfire Grill

The Rome Community Theater presents The Spitfire Grill Jun 7th and 8th at 7:30pm, and Jun 9th at 2:30pm.

The Spitfire Grill is a heartwarming and inspirational musical tale of redemption, perseverance and family. It follows the dreams of a feisty parolee in a small town in Wisconsin. Seeking to put her past behind her, Percy Talbott reveals the love – and secrets – that are the foundation of a small town.

THE 2024 UPSTATE NY OUTDOOR EXPO in Mohawk!

The largest gathering of rural outdoor lifestyle enthusiasts in Upstate NY! This year’s expo will be at Leonard Gilbert Farm at 640 Robinson, Mohawk, NY, on June 8 & 9, 2024, Sat. 9-6, Sun. 9-3.

The show is set to take place June 8 and 9, 2024 and will be located at the same venue: the Len-Lo Farm property, just south of the Village of Mohawk. The substantial size of both the field area and the Morton Building barn allows for an expansive show – highlighting both larger equipment dealers and demonstrators and smaller, indoor vendors.

Munson Arts and Yoga in Utica!

Breathe, relax, enjoy! Each class begins with a 15-minute introduction to a work of art followed by one hour of yoga and meditation. Participants at all levels of ability are welcome. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat.
