Albany Symphony Water Music
The Albany Symphony Water Music performance in Little Falls, NY, Celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the Erie Canal, begins at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, at the Old Lock 36, near Lock 17 in Little Falls, NY. The Albany Symphony, in partnership with the New York Power Authority and the New York State Canal Corporation, presents a powerful commemorative and celebratory series of free livestreamed pop-up concerts taking place along the Erie Canal.

Worldwide Day of Play
The Worldwide Day of Play event begins at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Utica Children’s Museum located at 106 Memorial Parkway, Utica, NY. Everything is free and everyone is welcome – stop by to visit our team and lots of friends who will be bringing fun activities, snacks and more to the grounds of our new location at 106 Memorial Parkway.
UMN 4 the Arts will bring music and art together – decorate your own wood guitar and check out some inflatable instruments! There are lots of activities, and fun planned! This event is outdoors and rain or shine! See you there!
Fall Fun Days
Fall Fun Days at the Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo begins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo located at 5135 Rome New London Road, Rome NY. Fall Fun Days feature Antique Tractor pull rides around the loop of the zoo, Pumpkin decorating and Crafts, a Kid’s Fun Maze, Campfire with S’mores, as well as our Educational Animal Presentations and access to the Wild Creature’s Playland with Pillow bounce. there is plenty of fun for the whole family.
Remsen Barn Festival of the Arts
The Remsen Barn Festival of the Arts takes place from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m on Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Main Street in Remsen, NY. Remsen’s Main Street is closed to vehicles and transformed into a shopping, eating, and entertainment adventure. More than 225 quality artists and crafters offer art, jewelry, textiles, fashion accessories, woodcrafts, soaps, pottery, holiday items, furniture, glass, candles, and more. Admission to the Festival is free and there is plenty of parking. No pets allowed.
Blacksmithing Weekend
The Farmers Museum Blacksmithing Weekend is on Saturday and Sunday, September 28 & 29, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at The Farmers’ Museum, Cooperstown, NY. Included with regular admission: $17.50 adults (13-64), $12.50 seniors (65+), $10 juniors (7-12), and FREE for kids 6 and under, (Go to farmersmuseum.org/free to see all free admission options.) Tickets available at the door on the day of the event. In addition to the Blacksmith, a number of other tradesmen worked metal into products required by New Yorkers in the 1800’s will demonstrate specialized skills used to cast iron stove parts and hardware, craft sheet metal household utensils, and forge and cut nails and files. An education and fun day for everyone.

Dungeons and Dragons at Amsterdam Free Library
The Amsterdam Free Library hosts Dungeons and Dragons sessions for kids aged 7-12 and for Dungeons and Dragons sessions for kids aged 13+. Sessions begin at 10:30 a.m for 7-12 year olds and at 12:30 p.m until 2:30pm for aged 13 and up. This is a great opportunity for kids to discover how to play the dungeons and Dragons. This is a great opportunity for kids to learn the game Dungeons and Dragons from folks who know. No experience is necessary.
