Mohawk Valley Gives benefits area nonprofits

The Mohawk Valley Gives campaign officially begins on September 20, and early donations are already on their way!

The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties is hosting its second year of “Mohawk Valley Gives. This day of giving unites individuals with a common purpose: to nurture the growth and prosperity of their communities. Nonprofit organizations from education to healthcare, environmental conservation to arts and culture, eagerly participate, showcasing their vital contributions to the region.

While early donations are now being received, the one-day campaign on September 20 is a testament to the power of collective action, showing that even a short period of concentrated effort can yield remarkable results.

During last year’s giving day, the community came together and raised more than $630,000 in 24 hours from 1,700+ unique donors and over 2,750+ individual donations. More than 90 prizes were awarded to participating nonprofits with the generous support of Mohawk Valley Gives sponsors, as well as members of the Community Foundation Board of Trustees.” – givemv.org

As part of the campaign, prizes are awarded to organizations that receive donations on September 20, in addition to prizes for organizations from extra small to large.
