Montgomery County Clerk limiting DMV transactions to Montgomery County residents only

FONDA, N.Y.– Montgomery County Clerk Brittany Kolbe will be limiting Fonda DMV transactions to Montgomery County residents only beginning Monday, April 14.

“Ongoing staffing issues, coupled with the enormous increase in volume we’re seeing due to the impending REAL ID deadline, has forced us to make the tough decision to limit our services to Montgomery County residents only,” Kolbe said. “This is a temporary change until we can adequately staff our department.”

Kolbe said the public can stay in the know by checking the Montgomery County website, the mobile app, or the County Clerk’s Facebook page for updates.
