The Modernistics are the acclaimed singing and tap-dancing team of Ted and Pamela Powers, with virtuoso jazz musicians Peter H. Bloom on flute, Mark Leighton on guitar, and Dave Zox on double bass. The ever-popular Wednesday Craft Nights Get-Togethers continue at the Old Forge Library. Craft nights will start at 5 pm on October 18 and continue for eight more sessions. (October 25, November 1,8,15 and 29; and December 6,13 and 20). Old Forge Library crafts provide a social event and fun for all. The free sessions have a festive feel, with all projects being geared toward celebrating the fall through winter holidays. The library will provide all necessary supplies free of charge to all participants.
The schedule for crafting projects will be: October 18 – Yarn Pumpkins; October 25 – Push-pin Pumpkins; November 1- Nail Polish Tree; November 8 – Fall Leaf Bowl; November 15 – Beaded Corn; November 29 – House Ornaments; December 6 – Paper Bag Snowflake December 13 – Popcorn & Cranberry Garland and December 20 – Popsicle Stick Truck Ornaments.
