St Johnsville Ice Skating Rink Opens

Community Spirit is alive and well in St. Johnsville!

The Skating Rink is now open for the season! It was a little chilly on opening day but folks warmed up once they started moving around on the newly opened St. Johnsville Ice Skating Rink!St. Johnsville Ice Skating Rink 2023, image from Friends of St. Johnsville Facebook page

The skating rink is located at Soldiers and Sailors Park, 6 Lyon Ave, in St. Johnsville, and is open daily from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. The tentative Skate Lending Hours are Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and on weekends from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Many thanks to the Friends of St. Johnsville and all the community members, donors and volunteers who helped to make this project come to life! This rink was made possible by a generous grant from the Adam and Nellie Horn Foundation as well as community support.

Thanks to the amazing outpouring of support the ice rink is now a reality! Even if you don’t have skates to enjoy the rink, you can still join in the fun as there are limited number of skates available to borrow on a first-come, first-serve basis! Volunteers are on site during Skate Lending Hours offering hot chocolate, coffee and hot dogs served free of charge!

This will be weather dependent.
