Become a LiteracyCNY Digital Literacy Volunteer

Are you passionate about technology and eager to make a difference? Become a LiteracyCNY Digital Literacy Volunteer and help residents of Herkimer County enhance their digital skills at Basloe Library, the county’s largest public library!

For nearly three years, our Digital Literacy Volunteers have been empowering adults in Oneida County with essential tech skills. Now, we’re excited to bring this valuable program to Herkimer County, and we need dedicated volunteers like you to make it happen.
As a volunteer, you’ll:

  • Work One-on-One: Assist community members in operating devices, navigating the internet, and using key software like Gmail and MS Word.
  • Make a Difference: Transform lives by equipping individuals with valuable digital skills.
  • Make the 1-3-6 Commitment: Serve for just three hours a week at a time that works for you for 6 months or more.

Your involvement will play a crucial role in helping others gain confidence and competence in today’s digital world. Ready to make an impact? Join us in our mission to empower and educate!
