Get ready for the Dolgeville Violet Festival coming June 9-11

The Friday through Sunday event is a must see in the Mohawk Valley!

Here at Mohawk Valley Today, we’re counting down to this year’s Dolgeville Violet Festival coming the second weekend in June to the Village of Dolgeville in Herkimer County NY. The festival this year is packed with events including the festival’s signature parade, 5K, kids’ Fun Run, village-wide garage sales, opening ceremonies, vendors, art shows, flower show, craft show, horse-drawn carriage rides, music, and so much more. New this year, there will be rock climbing for kids and mechanical bull rides.

This unique event is known throughout the valley for its community spirit that welcomes more than 10,000 people each year to the three-day event. Enjoy music, drum beats, floats and more, from the 80+ organizations participating in the parade on Saturday. Have a fun-filled Saturday on June 10th

If you can only get to the festival for just one day, event organizers say make it Saturday. This full day packs the most of what makes the Dolgeville Violet Festival special. Plan to arrive early for the parade which starts at 10:00am, enjoy  the village-wide garage sales,  all vendors will be onsite with music throughout the day and an exciting fireworks display fireworks in the evening at Summerhouse Hill! You won’t want to miss it!
