Play Date at Little Falls Library

Play Date at the Little Falls Library takes from 10:15 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Friday January 3, 2025 at the Little Falls Library located at 10 Waverly Place, Little Falls, NY. Bring your kids 3 years and younger to read a story, sing songs, do a craft and have fun! The Playdate Plus at the Little Falls Public Library provides a fun and inviting atmosphere for reading old and new books, exploring storybook adventures, singing songs and enjoying craft time. A perfect opportunity for toddlers to grow their social skills, Playdate Plus allows children to interact, share and have fun!

Strange Magic NY

The Glove Theatre presents Strange Magic NY: The ELO Experience which takes place at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025 at the Glove Theatre located at 44 N. Main Street, Gloversville, NY. Strange Magic NY is the authentic re-creation of legendary ’70s rock band ELO (Electric Light Orchestra). Strange Magic NY is a 9-piece ELO tribute band whose musicians have come together to reproduce the iconic ELO sound. The band has paid attention to every detail of the music of ELO by incorporating actual string instruments to the band as well as two keyboard players and a multitude of musicians who sing the complex harmonies. Fluid Art Demo

44 Lakes Customized Gifts and Decor, located at 15 N. Main St., Gloversville, NY will host a Fluid Art Demo from noon to 2:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Come see a fluid art painting come to life by Tiffany Cridland and Marie’s Fluid Alchemy. Light refreshments will be provided.

Family Friendly Matinees

FREE – Family Friendly Gaming Meet-up at The Glove Theatre, 42 N. Main St., on Jan. 5 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Got a killer D&D campaign going? Looking to test out your new Magic or Pokémon card deck? Want to challenge a new friend to a game of Catan? The Glove Theatre is the place to be for gaming meet ups! Bring your own games, figures, cards, and use our space to game in comfort and style, from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. every 3rd Sunday from January through March! Concessions on sale including popcorn, soft drinks, candies, salty snacks, hot drinks, and adult beverages (for those 21+ with valid I.D.). Come play to your heart’s content and enjoy our epic gaming-centric music playlist and psychedelic visuals. Gaming Meet-Ups are presented as part of Free Family-Friendly Matinées in cooperation with the Gloversville Recreation Commission.

Kate McDonnell and Matthew Kline at Dorn SpaceGl

This SATURDAY, January 4 at 7:00 p.m. Kate McDonnell and Matthew Klane will be in Concert at Dorn Space, 99 N. Main St., Gloversville. Having performed at the Newport Folk Festival and the Kennedy Center as well as appearing on the Mountain Stage radio show and on WXPN’s World Café, McDonnell has earned praise from prestigious publications such as the Village Voice, Sing Out!, and the Boston Globe. Opening for McDonnell will be renowned author and visual artist, Matthew Klane who is in the process of releasing his debut musical album of twelve original songs with help from producer extraordinaire Jimi W titled, Too Little Too Late. Admission is $10 (cash/door only). Doors open at 6:15 pm.

Knitting and Crocheting Club
