The Glove Theatre Presents Workshop Production of New Musical, Picture of David, by Alyssa Rizzo

Friday, May 10th and Saturday, May 11th at 7.00pm and Sunday, May 12th, as 2.00pm.

The Glove Theatre is presenting a workshop production of Picture of David, a new musical by St. John’s parish organist, Alyssa Rizzo. This production marks the first new musical which will be developed at The Glove Theatre. Take a look at the details here.

“…David will be a staged workshop reading,” adds director, Maricondi, “which is something that is done a lot in New York City and beyond to help refine the piece, test it in front of an audience, and get audiences interested in following its journey. There will be movement, a live band, suggestions of a set…but it’s really a chance for the piece to speak for itself and for audiences to get in on the ground floor of a New Work’s development.

Mushroom Canvas Painting

Get creative painting mushrooms on 11×15” canvases. This fun event is on Friday, May 10 from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at 44 Lakes Customized Gifts and Decor at 15 N. Main St. in Gloversville.

Gloversville Farmers’ Market

The Gloversville Farmers’ Market is back in season beginning May 11 and coming back every Saturday from 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at 9 Elm Street under the Pavilion. Johnstown’s Farmers’ Market begins over a month later on June 25 to recur on Tuesdays from 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. at 109 E. Main Street.

Mother’s Day Mimosas and Bellinis

Celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday with Mimosas and Bellinis at the Off the Rails Tavern in Gloversville. It all begins at 11:00 a.m. lasting until 3:00 p.m. Off the Rails Tavern is located at 7 West Street.

Featured Utica Events

RC David Oster Artworks will be at the Tramontane Cafe today, May 10, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

David is a self-taught artist living in Utica, who specializes in ink drawings of nature scenes and architectural  landmarks.  He is known for his highly detailed illustrations of farms and barns from the region, many of which have disappeared since he drew them.

Ride for Missing Children/Ride for Roswell Fundraiser today, May 10 from 10:lo a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Do you need a gift for Mother’s Day or for a friend? Today’s the day to stop by and check out my fundraiser! Greeting cards and matted prints featuring my nature photography will be for sale. This time I’ll also have gift tags and bookmarks that I’ve water colored for as well.  Items are $2-$20

There will be two charity bike rides in June and that is where the proceeds of this sale will be going. Stop by and help support these two important causes!

Nurgeg Appreciation Brunch On Saturday May 11 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Nurgeg Appreciation Brunch will be at the Cornerstone Community Church located at 500 Plant Street, Utica, NY 13502. There will be raffles, prizes and plenty of entertainment. Tickets are $15.

Featured Little Falls Event

Farm to Food Truck Hoedown today beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Get ready for some fun at today’s Farm to Food Truck Hoedown at 682 Newville Road in Little Falls. Enjoy family fun for everyone with food trucks and live music. Barn doors open at 5:00 p.m.
