Amsterdam Spring Fling

The City of Amsterdam and the Amsterdam Tourism, Marketing & Recreation Department presents Amsterdam Spring Fling Festival Sponsored by The Sentinel of Amsterdam on Saturday, May 18th from 11am-5pm.

Spring Fling Festival is the City of Amsterdam’s first big outdoor festival of the year, on Main Street in Downtown Amsterdam.

Families of all ages can enjoy kid activities, arts and crafts, vendors, food trucks, bounce houses, DJ from 11am- 2:00pm, then Karaoke from 2:30-5pm. Enjoy a nice spring day outside and visit our downtown businesses. View the event map here.

Gloversville Citywide Garage Sale May 18-19

The Gloversville Citywide Garage Sale will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19. Those having sales during the weekend are encouraged to email cityclerk@cityofgloversville.com to have their addresses posted on May 17 with a promotion of the event.

Sidewalk Chalk Contest on Saturday, May 18

44 Lakes Customized Gifts & Décor, 15 N. Main St., is hosting a Sidewalk Chalk Contest. To sign up, please message the store through its Facebook page or call (518) 775-8634. The rain date is May 25th. Contestants are split up into age groups. In the category for ages 12 to adult, the top two winners will split all the money donated. In the category for ages 11 and under, the two winners will each win a gift bag.

Floydian trip at The Glove

The Glove Theatre will host Floydian Trip, New England’s premier Pink Floyd Experience, at 7 p.m. on May 18. More than a tribute group, Floydian Trip brings the sights, sounds, and spirit of Pink Floyd in an immersive evening. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.ticketstripe.com/floydiantrip.

Great Rentals Open House

Great Rentals, 59 N. Main St., will host an open house on May 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free shirts, flashlights, and koozies will be available, as well as a raffle, and local dirt track driver Stephen Gray will be on site from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
