Montgomery County to Host Job Fair on June 12

FONDA, N.Y. — Job seekers will have the chance to connect with a wide range of employers during the Montgomery County Job Fair on Thursday, June 12.

The event will be held in two sessions — from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. — at the Montgomery County Office Building, 20 Park St., Fonda.

The job fair will feature employers from multiple industries, including healthcare, education, public service, retail, and more. Representatives from county departments, local municipalities, school districts, the City of Amsterdam, and private-sector businesses will be on-site to connect with job seekers.

Human Resources staff from Civil Service and Benefits Administration will also be available to assist with county applications and answer questions about public sector employment opportunities.

“This event provides prospective employees with a deeper look at the wide variety of rewarding careers available right here in Montgomery County,” County Personnel Officer Nicole Yaggle said. “We’re proud to connect people with meaningful opportunities across many sectors.”

In addition to career resources, the event will highlight the lifestyle benefits of living and working in Montgomery County, thanks to a partnership with the County’s Tourism Department.

“Whether you’re looking for your first job or a career change, Montgomery County is full of opportunity,” County Executive Pete Vroman said. “This job fair brings together businesses and organizations that are vital to our economy and quality of life. We encourage residents to come out, explore, and take the first step toward a rewarding future right here at home.”

Job seekers are encouraged to attend either session.
