The NYS Canal Corporation and the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor are pleased to announce that 41 non-profit organizations and municipalities will receive 2026 NYS Canal System Tourism Infrastructure and Event Grants
All finishers will receive a mileage sticker and magnet and a pair of Canalway Challenge crew socks.The Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor invites New Yorkers to take part in the free FEBRUARY 15 Canalway Challenge.
The 2026 grants program will prioritize projects and events that are accessible to all with a focus on addressing service and amenity gaps.
The Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor is pleased to announce the winners of its 20th annual Erie Canalway Photo Contest.
Amateur and professional photographers are invited to submit up to three images that capture the canals’ beauty, vibrancy, and character.
Kids can complete activities to learn about the New York State Canal System and earn a badge, certificate, and title of Erie Canalway Junior Ranger.
