Cornell Cooperative Extension Herkimer County Seeks Farmers for Veggie Van

Attention Local Farmers – Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Herkimer County is excited to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Veggie Van Mobile Farmers’ Market Operator Partnership. This initiative aims to increase access to fresh, locally grown produce in underserved communities across Herkimer County.

CCE is seeking qualified farmers or farming organizations to operate a mobile farmers’ market during the 2025 growing season (June – October). Selected participants will receive a financial stipend, marketing support, and nutrition education programming from CCE while keeping all proceeds from sales.

Interested applicants must submit proposals by April 1, 2025. Full RFP details and application instructions are available on our website at Veggie Van Request for Proposal.
