Barneveld – All in one afternoon and evening, on Thursday, September 17th, Unity Hall in Barneveld will offer dining, a SIRSY concert, and a Buffalo Bills watch party!

One of the region’s premiere Food Trucks will be at Unity Hall from 4:30-8:30 to offer up great locally sourced, farm-to-truck pre-concert meals. At 6:30, national touring duo SIRSY will bring their lively pop, rock, and soul to Unity Hall’s Landecker Auditorium. The music wraps up at 8:00 PM, when Bills fans can stay and enjoy the free Bills/Lions game Watch Party.

SIRSY’s Melanie Krahmer has “one of the most powerful and flexible voices you’ll ever hear” (Times Union). Mel’s bandmate, co-writer, & husband is Rich Libutti. Rich masterfully plays a well-loved and road-worn Rickenbacker through a pedal board full of vintage effects. He sounds like 3 guitarists all on his own. SXSW music blog says “The guitar player is flawless and raw. Clean enough to be enjoyed, and just edgy enough to make you grin.” This duo captures the vibrant energy of a full band, with just the two of them juggling all the responsibilities.

Performing over 200 touring shows a year, they’ve opened for Maroon 5, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Train, RaRaRiot, Third Eye Blind, Collective Soul, Lifehouse, Blues Traveler, Cheap Trick, and more. Their latest single, “Stupid Little Heart” (Jan 7, 2025) debuted at #10 on the indie folk chart. SIRSY songs and videos have been featured on TV shows (Shameless), PBS documentaries (So Right, So Smart), as well as the NFL, HBO, MTV and NPR. Although the lyrics can be introspective and the power of Sirsy can get pretty intense, “There is no sadness there,” Mel says. On stage they radiate joy. “It’s just us being free and playing music…”

With generous support from the Upmobility Foundation, Unity Hall is thrilled to present this special concert as part of its 2026 Mohawk Valley Gives campaign. This community-wide giving day benefits nonprofit organizations serving the Mohawk Valley. Early donations this year will open on Monday, September 14.

This all takes place on Thursday, September 17, at Unity Hall, 101 Vanderkemp Ave, Barneveld. Details and tickets for this event are available at https://www.unityhall.com/sirsy.

Unity Hall members can purchase tickets for $20 and enjoy early seating in the auditorium. Tickets are $25 for non-members. An accessible entrance is at the rear of the building, and the concert will be simulcast to the first floor for those who can’t maneuver the stairs to the upstairs theater.
