GLOVERSVILLE, NY – The Glove Theatre’s “518 Concert Series” (42 N Main Street, Gloversville) is proud to welcome The Insolent Willies to The Glove’s main stage on Friday, May 3 at 7pm.

Come out and support one of our favorite local 518 Bands – The Insolent Willies!

The Johnstown-based group is a roots-rock band known for their hip-shaking mix of quirky, clever original music and unpredictable covers. They’ll be bringing their full band: Bill Ackerbauer (acoustic guitar, harmonica, fiddle, vocals), Frank DeVer Pullen (bass, mandolin, banjo, vocals), Paul Gavry (accordion, fiddle, vocals), and Evan Gavry (guitars, percussion, vocals), plus a possible guest or two to join them on stage!

The Insolent Willies will be releasing their brand-new album this week with the  album’s title track, Black Cats and a Blow Torch, dropped last week. The Insolent Willies have been gaining attention recently and were featured this past March on wmht’s “A House for Arts (AHA).”

The Glove’s “518 Concert Series” is focused on bringing both established and emerging 518 and upstate artists to the stage. “We think it’s important to support and showcase local artists – and there are so many talented musicians and bands in the 518 to highlight.” This series fits perfectly with The Glove Theatre’s mission is to establish an accessible platform of expression for the arts that engages, entertains, and educates the regional community to foster talent and economic development opportunities for the Southern Adirondack and Mohawk Valley regions.
