Mark Your Calendars for This Week’s Upcoming Gloversville Events

Open Mic Night Returns to Mohawk Harvest, Micropolis Art Gallery Participates in SVAN Trails, Glove Theatre Academy Hosts Original Performance and more!

GLOVERSVILLE, NY – Jennifer Donovan, the Gloversville Downtown Development Specialist (GDDS) at Fulton County Center for Regional Growth (CRG) is pleased to announce Downtown Gloversville is filled with a variety of activities this week. Below is just a sampling of the local events:

  • Aug. 16th: Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market, located at 30 N. Main St., hosts an open mic night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. All are welcome to come and enjoy watching others perform or stop in and sign up to showcase your talents. The Cafe will be open serving drinks and food.
  • Aug. 16: The Glove Theatre will show the movie “Hercules” at 2 and at 7 p.m. at the theatre at 42 N. Main St.
  • Aug. 18th: The last Food Truck Friday of the season will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Castiglione Memorial Park, located at 47 N. Main St. Music will be performed by Michelle King.
  • Aug. 18th: The Glove Theatre Academy presents, “Fairy Tales… Flipped!” on Aug. 18th at 7 p.m., Aug. 19th at 2 and 7 p.m. and Aug. 20th at 2 p.m. This free original, musical performance was created by youth and audiences will experience the magic of creativity and collaborative storytelling.
  • Aug. 19th:  ““Bark in the Park, a Fun Charity Dog Show” will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Trail Station Park. Participants must pre-register by today, Aug. 14th. Hosted by I can Breathe and I will Speak Inc., prizes include Best in Show, Most Talented and Best Rescue.   • Aug. 19th and 20th: Sacandaga Valley Arts Network (SVAN) is hosting its 2023 Arts Trails where people can take self-guided tours of studios and galleries through theSacandaga Valley. Gloversville’s own Micropolis Art Gallery is on the tour. Located inside the Mohawk Harvest at 30 N. Main St., be sure to stop in and see artwork by regional artists.
  • Aug. 20th: Gloversville Farmers Market, located at 9 Elm Street, continues its weekly market from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
