NYS Police assist the Town of Warwick Police with a voluntary evacuation

New York State Police assisted the Town of Warwick Police with a voluntary evacuation of approximately 40 to 50 homes

Last evening, the New York State Police assisted the Town of Warwick Police with a voluntary evacuation of approximately 40 to 50 homes in the area of Edgemere Drive and East Shore Road in the village of Greenwood Lake due to the ongoing Jennings Creek/Sterling Forest brushfire.

NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, New York State Park Police and volunteer fire crews continue to work with the NYSP Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) to constantly monitor the fire in real time, plot its movement and measure distances from the fire line to the residences.

For all donations made to the Food Pantry through the end of 2024, the Scriven Foundation is providing a match of up to $10,000, and an anonymous donor will match an additional $5,000 on top of that, making a dollar-for-dollar match of up to $15,000.
