Get into the Halloween spirit with a whole week of frightful fun

View Arts Center in Old Forge is all about making this year’s spooky season fun with its annual Halloweek Spooktacular! Get ready to dive headfirst into a whirlwind of Halloween events that will make you cackle with delight! It’s the time of year when the air becomes crisper, the leaves are falling, and the entire world seems to embrace a little bit of fun.

October 24 • Young Frankenstein at 7pm

Kick off with a special screening of the comedy monster classic Young Frankenstein!  The movie is rated PG and admission to the movie is FREE, with popcorn and a cash bar available for purchase. It’s sure to be an evening of fun and laughs!

October 25 • Halloween Cocktails Class at 5:30pm

Halloween Cocktails Class, View Arts Center Old forge NY, Photo provided by View Arts Center Get ready for a BOOOzy night at View! In this two-hour workshop, you will be given all of the ingredients and instructions to create three cocktails from scratch while in class. Instructor Travis Kiefer will help you learn the skills and tricks to mix up your Halloween party offerings right before the weekend arrives. Cost is $25 and you must be 21+ to register.

October 26 • FREE Community Halloween Open House 2-4pm

View Arts Center Open House Here’s a great chance to see View in all it’s frightful glory, and even take advantage of the free admission to our galleries and Quilt Exhibition!  View Arts Center is opening doors and turning on our animatronics for anyone who wants to come in to check out our fun Halloween decor in our lobby, Gould Hall, and everywhere in between. We hope everyone stops in to see the incredible work our volunteers do during the most haunting time of year.

October 27 • CAA Halloween Pumpkin Carving Party at View beginning at 3pm

View Arts Center Pumpkin Carving This annual event beginning at 4:30pm welcomes anyone to pick out their favorite pumpkin and carve their masterpiece, with no mess in your own house! While you’re here, take the opportunity to trick or treat through the spooky decor put together by View’s fantastic volunteers who may like Halloween a little too much. The CAA will also be providing complimentary pizza and cider starting at 4:30pm. Bring the family and get into the spooky spirit, completely FREE of charge!

October 28 • Community Halloween Party Monster Mash

Gather your brooms, fangs, wigs, and makeup and join View for their 4th Annual Halloween Party Monster Mash. The premier Halloween party in the region is FREE to the public and is being co-sponsored by the Central Adirondack Association as part of the week-long Hallowed Forge Pumpkin Party.

The Universal Monsters-themed party will feature a cash bar, with some Halloween-themed specialty cocktails, heavy appetizers, and, of course, a costume contest with cash prizes for the top 3 costumes of the night. Due to the alcohol at the event, the party is for ages 21 and over.

Don’t let Halloween pass you by with just a single night of trick-or-treating; savor the season with a week-long celebration that will leave you howling for more. Get ready for the spooktacular adventure of a lifetime!
