Fort Plain’s Heritage Days kicks off today!

Wheelock Rides and Games opens today with lots in store through Saturday at the Heritage Days in Fort Plain.

We visited Fort Plain and to see the final stages of the Heritage Days preparations. Take a look at some of the photos below. Don’t forget that the Fireworks will be on Saturday at the Little League Field on Willet St. in Fort Plain NOT at Wiles Park.

Heritage Days 2023

Today, August 24

  • Wheelock Rides and Games (wristbands sold in 4-hour sessions)
  • Local History Presentation by Eileen Chambers at the Fort Plain Free Library

Friday, August 25

  • Wheelock Rides and Games (wristbands sold in 4-hour sessions)
  • Food and more

Saturday August 26 Street Fair

  • Canal Street Events including food, vendors, dance, entertainment, Erie Station Beer Garden
  • Willett Street Block Party featuring Kids’ Game Yard, DJs, Eisenadler Brauhaus Beer/Wine/Cider Garden
  • Raffle winners announced
  • Grand Finale Fireworks at the Little League Field on Herkimer Street
  • After Party at the Erie Canal Distillery
