Now is a great time to Learn Country Line Dancing! Come on out to the Fremont Street Community Garden at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024, located at 110 Fremont Street, Gloversville. Be sure to wear comfortable Shoes and look forward to having fun and get some great exercise! Admission is FREE, and have Fun!
Utica ZooMobile
The Utica ZooMobile makes its final stop of the summer season at the Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024. The Utica ZooMobile will stop by the Great Hall for a fun program for all ages! Get an up-close, meet-and-greet with a bunch of cool animals! This is a free program, registration requested. Food Truck Friday
Food Truck Friday is August 23, 2024, at Castiglione Park in Gloversville, NY. This Friday, August 23rd, has two time periods to enjoy the scene at Food Truck Friday! The musician performing from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. is Tim Vee. Food truck vendors are Jammin’ Juice Bar, Parkside Hot Dogs, Teddy’s Gyros. Also, The musician performing from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. is Johnny Gonzales. Food truck vendors include Red Pop Lemonade, A&S Spice on Wheels, Teddy’s Gyros, Parkside Hot Dogs!
90s Trivia Night at the Glove Theater
The Fulton County SPCA to host a fun-filled evening of TRIVIA Night from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Glove Theatre, Main Street, Gloversville, NY. The event will be hosted by Patti Noble (WENT Radio), and our very own Sunday Coffee Talk host, Deanne Newman!! Teams of four will compete in five rounds of questions ALL ABOUT THE 90s with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners! Door prizes, raffle baskets, and MORE!! Theatre concessions & bar will be open. Cost is $40 per team. Teams will be LIMITED, so pre-registration is required for this event! Register here!
St. Johnsville Fair
Celebrate Small Time Life in a Big Way! The St. Johnsville Fair is hosted by the St Johnsville American Legion & The St Johnsville Legion Community Council. The fair will be held August 23 and 24, 2024.
Hours for Friday will run from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The Fair will take place at the St Johnsville Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Park located at Lion Ave, in St. Johnsville, NY.
There will be Nightly Music with Local Bands & Entertainment: Friday – Outta Time & 3-Wheeled Motor-Cycle Show, Saturday – KAOS & Fireworks at 9 pm. The fair will also have Fair Foods including Famous Clam Chowder, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Hot Sausage, Fries, Fried Dough, Chicken Tenders, & More! The Crafters Flea Marketers will be set up all weekend.

Family Farm Day
The 12th Annual Family Farm Day (FFD) takes place on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Farm Day Farm visits will include open house events at farms throughout Schoharie and Otsego counties. Family Farm Day provides local farms and related businesses the opportunity to introduce current and new customers to diverse, high-quality products, generate farm-gate sales, build long-term customer bases, and share the ever-evolving farm ‘stories’ that keep the importance of agriculture in the public dialogue. Plan your route using the interactive map online. This map includes direct links to farm websites, social media, farm GPS locations, travel directions, photos, and further descriptions about the farms and Family Farm Day activities offered. Guests are encouraged to visit as many farms as your schedule permits between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Frankfort Metal at the Marina
Come enjoy a day of heavy metal, sunshine, and a good time on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. for Metal at the Marina at the Frankfort Marina. The goal is to host local and regional metal bands to help raise awareness in the area. You can expect to find NIGHTS OF MALICE (New Jersey), GRAVE SIGHT (Rochester), SEVENTH SIEGE (Utica), INERTIA (Buffalo), KAREN. (Geneva), BLOODED (Watertown), SLUM LORD (Verona). There will be craft vendors and food available! Some of the food truck options will include Salamone’s Pizza truck and Catalin’s Spanish Cuisine. Alcohol will be sold by Heelpath Brewing Co., a wonderful local microbrewery creating several craft beers on tap!! BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIRS
The Clinton Art and Music Festival
The Clinton Art and Music Festival takes place from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Clinton Village Green in historic Clinton, NY. The festival will once again transform the village into what has become one of the Mohawk Valley’s largest free festivals! There is a fully packed schedule throughout the day!
Amsterdam Sunset Festival
The Saturday Night Sunset Festival is at Mohawk Valley Gateway Overlook and Riverlink Park. Enjoy themed events, Live Music, fireworks and more! The Sunset Festival takes place from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. This week’s entertainment is Knights of Columbus Feast of the Assumption. HAPPY HOUR SPECIALS at Southside Bars & Restaurant’s and at Drifters
Montgomery Kayak-a-Thon
The Montgomery Kayak-a-thon: Kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddle boards are all invited to launch from the St. Johnsville Municipal Marina located at 1 Marina, Drive, St. Johnsville, NY. Participants will travel east along the Mohawk River, through Locks 14 and 15, and conclude their paddle at the Riverfront Park in Canajoharie. Check-in will begin at 8:00 a.m. at the St. Johnsville Municipal Marina Launch. Participants can drop off their kayaks, canoes and paddle boards, and then park. Event parking will be available at the Riverfront Park at 143 Church Street in Canajoharie with shuttle service provided back to the boat launch.
