A Taste of Amsterdam, the City of Amsterdam, NY version of Restaurant Week, continues through this weekend at various restaurants, bistros and pubs across the city. Liberty, Land and Loss: Echoes of the American Revolution
The Humanities New York Reading and Discussion Group: Land, Liberty and Loss – Echoes of the American Revolution will be reviewed through multiple discussions with the first Session on /February 22, 2024. Willoughby Station in Concert
Dorn Space hosts Willoughby Station in concert on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Dorn Space is located at 99 N. Main St., Gloversville, concert begins at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 (cash/door only). Doors open at 6:15 pm.
The Secret Garden
The Glove Theatre, located at 42 N. Main St., will show the film “The Secret Garden” on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. Free. The Free Family-Friendly Matinées continue with the hauntingly beautiful The Secret Garden, starring Maggie Smith, and based on the classic children’s story. Living in India, a young, privileged girl named Mary Lennox is left orphaned when her parents are killed in an earthquake. She is sent back to England to live on her uncle Archibald Craven’s (John Lynch’s) estate. It is a fairly isolated existence, and she has to find things to keep herself occupied. She finds a sickly young cousin named Colin Craven and a secret garden.

Get fresh eggs, vegetables, honey and more, at farmers’ markets this weekend! Get local produce the Oneonta Winter Farmers’ Market on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the Cooperstown Farmers’ Market on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Don’t forget to have fun during the “Hardy Locavore” challenge to reward shoppers at its Winter Saturday Markets. By shopping 10 times at the farmers’ market between January 11 and April 26, people will receive a free cotton canvas box tote.
