Listening Session at MVCC
The Mohawk Valley Economic Development District (MVEDD) invites you to join a brainstorming and Listening Session beginning at 4:00 p.m. at MVCC Francis A Wilcox Hall located at Sherman Drive, Utica, NY. This session is to explore the solutions and adaptations that will help local communities to be more resilient to changing weather patterns, like warmer winters, flooding, and storms. this event is open to the public.
This event is organized by the Adirondack Climate Outreach and Resilience Network (ACORN). The overall intent is to identify specific needs with the goal of bringing federal, state, and philanthropic funding to our area. Arkell Museum Season Opening
The Season Opening for the Arkell Museum is on Saturday, March 1, 2025 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library located at 2 Erie Blvd, Canajoharie, NY. Exhibit highlighting the 200th anniversary of the Erie Canal entitled, ‘Mingling the Waters, 200 Years on the Erie Canal, will be on display from March 1, until December 30, 2025. The Arkell Museum at Canajoharie and the Canajoharie Library promote and celebrate the understanding and enjoyment of the arts and humanities in Canajoharie, the Mohawk Valley, and beyond.
This Week at the Capitol Arts Complex in Rome
A Cinema Capitol tradition continues on the big screen of the Capitol Theatre as we present the 2025 Oscar Nominated Shorts just days before the 97th Academy Awards. On Friday, enjoy Documentary Shorts (157 minutes) at 4:00 p.m. (Buy Ticket) and Live Action Shorts (100 minutes) at 7:00 p.m. (Buy Ticket). Join us at Franca’s Wine Room (260 W. Dominick Street) on Sunday, March 2 at 6:30 pm for the Cinema Capitol’s annual Oscars Viewing Party! Due to the repairs and renovations pending at Cinema Capitol following the tornado, we have decided to keep this tradition alive and move our party down the street to our friends and neighbors at Franca’s! Sugaring Off Sundays Return to Fenimore Farm in March
There will be five Sugaring Off Sundays Sundays of maple sugaring activities and pancake breakfasts beginning at 8:30 a.m. on March 2, 2025 at Fenimore Farm and Country village located at 5775 NY-80, Cooperstown, NY. Breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. with events and activities planned from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Pricing is Adults/Teens (ages 13+): $15 / $14 members, Kids (ages 6-12): $10 / $9 members, and Lil’ Ones (ages 5 and under): FREE. Reservations are not required.

Get fresh vegetables, honey and more at the Oneonta Winter Farmers Market from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays at Foothills located at 24 Market Street, Oneonta, NY and at the Cooperstown Farmers’ Market on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Don’t forget to have fun during the “Hardy Locavore” challenge to reward shoppers at its Winter Saturday Markets. By shopping 10 times at the farmers’ market between January 11 and April 26, people will receive a free cotton canvas box tote.
