The Veggie Van at Ilion Arc Mall
The Veggie Van returns to Ilion ARC Mall at 10:00 a.m. on Friday February 7, 2025. Fresh, healthy food options are coming to the heart of the community this winter with the launch of the Veggie Van Indoor Winter Market at the ARC Mall in Ilion. This exciting initiative is made possible through a partnership with ARC Herkimer, whose support has created an incredible opportunity for residents to access nutritious, locally sourced produce.
Story Time at Old Forge Library
Story Time at the Old Forge Library Takes place on Friday, February 7 from 10:15 a.m to 11:00 a.m. at the Old Forge Library located at 220 Crosby Road, Old Forge, NY. Story Time is for children ages 3-6 years old. Led by Old Forge Library staff, the forty-five minutes will include stories and creative play, games, crafts, songs and other gentle activities to stimulate creative thinking.
Old Forge Winter Carnival
The Old Forge Winter Carnival takes place February 7-9 at McCauley Mountain Ski Area in Old Forge, NY. For nearly 70 years, the community of Old Forge has hosted its annual Winter Carnival. This is a classic, small-town, family-friendly event that is filled with fun. Events include the crowning of the Winter Carnival King and Queen, torchlight skiing, fireworks, live music and more. And be sure to check out the 2025 snow castle. The action takes place at McCauley Mountain Ski Area. Rock Valley Brewing Company hosts two events this weekend. Get local produce at the Oneonta Farmers’ Market on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Oneida County Public Market on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the Cooperstown Farmers’ Market on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Don’t forget to have fun during the “Hardy Locavore” challenge to reward shoppers at its Winter Saturday Markets. By shopping 10 times at the farmers’ market between January 11 and April 26, people will receive a free cotton canvas box tote.
