Join 44 Lakes Customized Gifts and Decor, located at 15 N. Main St., Gloversville, for a fun and interactive class where adults and children can create unique, Rock Owl on Canvas on Jan. 17 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Jan. 18 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Enjoy a twist on traditional crafting with Theresa’s expert guidance. A new show of work by Micropolis artists at Micropolis Cooperative, Inc., located inside Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market at 30 N. Main St., Gloversville, will be on exhibit from Jan. 15 – Feb. 28 along with art supplies, art publications, frames, posters, tools, select artwork and more on sale.
The Glove Theatre, located at 42 N. Main St., Gloversville, continues its 518 Concert Series with Luke Pavlus, The 518 Concert Series continues with Big Sky Country, a high energy modern country band that takes great pride in its musicianship, professionalism, and putting on a great show.
Formed in 2013, Big Sky Country has since established itself as one the premier country cover bands in New York. Their top-level musicianship is combined with five-part harmonies to help BSC distinguish itself from the pack. Big Sky Country is a band that needs to be seen by any music fan, they will not be disappointed.

Reptiles Return! Come see the Reptiles Return with Educator Shannon Parrott on Sunday, January 19th beginning at 2:00 p.m, at the Glove Theatre located at 42 N. Main Street, Gloversville. The Glove’s annual Free Family-Friendly Matinée Series presents Reptiles Return! Join us on another fascinating journey with our slithering, sunbathing, scaled friends and Via Aquarium’s incredible Head Educator, Shannon Perrott, for FREE at The Glove Theatre! This informative, hands-on presentation will begin at 2.00 p.m. and run until 3:30 p.m.
Farmers’ Markets
Get fresh eggs, vegetables, honey and more, at farmers’ markets this weekend! Get local produce at the Oneida County Public Market on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the Cooperstown Farmers’ Market on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Don’t forget to have fun during the “Hardy Locavore” challenge to reward shoppers at its Winter Saturday Markets. By shopping 10 times at the farmers’ market between January 11 and April 26, people will receive a free cotton canvas box tote.
