The Mohawk Valley’s history is culturally rich and diverse. Beginning with the first nations of the Haudenosaunee including the Oneida, Onondaga, Mohawk, Cayuga, Seneca and later the Tuscarora, the people Mohawk Valley has been home to many.
In the 1600s Dutch settlers came to the area and set up trading posts with British, Germans and many more people from a variety of nations coming to the valley bringing farms and industry.
