First Day Hike – Glimmerglass State Park

Hike takes place beginning at 10:00am on Monday, January 1, 2024 at Glimmerglass State Park located at 1527 County Highway 31, Cooperstown, Otsego County, NY.

The 1/2 mile self-guided hike along ADA assessable nature trail. Enjoy the outdoors on this looped trail that returns to the Beaver Pond Parking Lot. This First Hike starts at 10:00 AM and the first 100 people will receive a First Day Hike Giveaway!

Visitors will be able to participate in the hike beginning at 10:00am.

The hike ends at dusk so please plan accordingly. A Porta-Jon is located at the Beaver Pond and a Public Restroom is available at the Park Office if staffing allows.

This self-led walk might be snow and ice covered. We recommend that you wear appropriate footwear/snowshoes for the conditions. Hiking/ski poles might be beneficial for balance. Check in at the Park Office.
