Herkimer College Events February 14 – 16

Herkimer College will host College Now Night on Tuesday, February 14 during the women’s and men’s basketball games.

High school students enrolled in Herkimer College’s concurrent enrollment program, College Now, are invited to attend the free Valentine’s Day themed event.

The women’s game starts at 5 p.m. and the men tip off at 7 p.m. against the North Country Community College Saints.

College Now students will receive free t-shirts upon arrival. Free pizza and other refreshments will be available from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. All College Now students in attendance will be entered into a drawing to win prizes. Half-time contests and selfies with the General will also take place.

Herkimer College to host Admissions Information Sessions

Herkimer College will hold on-campus admissions information sessions on Saturday, February 15 at 6 p.m. and Thursday, February 23 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Participants will learn about Herkimer College’s programs, services, admissions, and financial aid processes. Campus tours and meetings with admissions and financial aid counselors will be available.

Registration is available at www.herkimer.edu/infosessions. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Herkimer College to host American Red Cross blood drive

Thursday, February 16, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall, located in the Robert McLaughlin College Center.

The American Red Cross is asking donors to consider a Power Red Cell donation for blood types O Negative, O Positive, A Negative, or B Negative, but all blood types are essential.  Power Red Cell donation resembles a regular blood donation, except a special machine allows you to donate two units of red blood cells during one donation while returning your plasma and platelets safely back to you. As of October 2022, the new minimum height requirement for females to be eligible for a Power Red donation has changed from 5’5 to 5’3.

All donors will receive a complimentary $10 Amazon gift card by email courtesy of Amazon. In addition, all donors will automatically be entered for a chance to win a trip for two to Clearwater Beach, Florida. For more information visit: rcblood.org/heart
