This weekend is packed with lots of things to do from Boonville to Amsterdam and plenty of places in between. Veggie Van Indoor Winter Market at ARC Mall in Ilion
On Friday, January 24 at 10:00 a.m., the Veggie Van Indoor Winter Market aims to make fresh food accessible to everyone, even during the colder months. Boonville Snow Festival II
The Boonville Snow Festival II Adirondack Cup Ice Oval Snowmobile Racing takes place Friday, January 24 through Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the Boonville-Oneida County Fairgrounds located at 222 Schuyler Street, Boonville, NY. Registration will be held on Friday January 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 222 Schuyler St., Boonville, NY. Anyone interested in participating in the Boonville Snow Festival Snowmobile Torchlight Parade on Friday night, January 24th, 2024 should arrive at the Boonville Town Barn next to the Tops Plaza on Route 12 in Boonville at 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, January 24th at 5:30pm come learn ORIGAMI with Heather. $20 per person covers all supplies needed to create a small gift box. Including a small gift inside. Please pay Heather directly. We will offer $1 off beverages for all participants in the Origami event.
Amsterdam’s SoupFest Sponsored by WellNow Urgent Care
The City of Amsterdam and the Amsterdam Tourism Marketing & Recreation Department present our 7th Annual SoupFest sponsored by WellNow Urgent Care on Saturday, January 25 from 12-5pm. Restaurants and bars throughout the city will provide over 30 different soups to sample. Participants will pay $1 for 3oz soup samples at each location and vote on-line for their favorite soup. The city will award trophies for the Most Unique Soup in the City and the Best Soup in the City. The Soup Guide will be available online and can also be picked up at any participating locations.

At The Glove Theatre The TS Ensemble will perform on Jan. 25 at 7 p.m., 42 N. Main St. Table seats are $25 and general admission seats are $20. Tickets can be ordered at ticketstripe.com/518tsensemble.
Dorn Space, 99 N. Main St., will host “Bill Ack and M Sparks” in concert on Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. Bill Ackerbauer’s original songs reflect his native region, which spans New York’s Mohawk Valley and Adirondack Foothills. M Sparks is a Philly based singer-songwriter whose music is emotionally up-front and raw in a way that works beautifully in the folk world. Admission is $10 cash at the door. Beau Monde Progressive Hair Studio & day Spa, Ltd., will host a “Vision Board Workshop on Jan. 26, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. It includes supplies, instruction for layout and charcuterie lunch for $25 per person. On Jan. 26 there will be a free “Family Friendly Gaming Meet-up” at The Glove Theatre, 42 N. Main St., from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Bring your own games, figures, cards, and use the theater space to game in comfort and style. This event is held in cooperation with the Gloversville Recreation Commission. The concession stand will be available to purchase snacks and drinks.
A new show of work by Micropolis artists at Micropolis Cooperative, Inc., located inside Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market at 30 N. Main St., Gloversville, will be on exhibit from Jan. 15 – Feb. 28 along with art supplies, art publications, frames, posters, tools, select artwork and more on sale.
Farmers’ Markets
Get fresh eggs, vegetables, honey and more, at farmers’ markets this weekend! Get local produce on Friday Morning in Ilion at the Veggie Van Indoor Market beginning at 10:00 a.m., the Oneida County Public Market on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the Cooperstown Farmers’ Market on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Don’t forget to have fun during the “Hardy Locavore” challenge to reward shoppers at its Winter Saturday Markets. By shopping 10 times at the farmers’ market between January 11 and April 26, people will receive a free cotton canvas box tote.
