It’s Summer Solstice Weekend and there’s plenty to do at featured weekend events happening in Upstate New York’s Mohawk Valley! Thanks to Canajoharie, Gloversville, Old Forge, Howes Cave, Ilion, Sharon Springs and more, for sharing events with us! Special Summer Solstice Events at Iroquois
Special Summer Solstice Events at the Iroquois Museum take place on Friday, June 20,2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and again from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Iroquois Museum located at 324 Caverns Road, Howes Cave, NY. Please join Joey Crawford, A Quantum Reiki Healer and Spiritual Life Coach as she shares her personal awakening experience and journey connected with Divine Energies. Colleen Sheehan brings humor and experience to the yoga classroom. U-Pick Lavender Days
U-Pick Lavender Days are off to a great start at 10:00 a.m. this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 20 – 22, 2025, at Slate Hill Lavender Farm located at 342 Slate Hill Road, Sharon Springs, NY. Cost to cut: $10 per bunch of fresh lavender for visitors to take home with them. *Scissors and baskets are provided. Summer Solstice Celebration at the Old Forge Library
The Old Forge Library invites community members, friends, and visitors to join a Special Summer Solstice Celebration on the library lawn at 220 Crosby Blvd. in Old Forge. Festivities will begin at 4:00 p.m. with a Cyanotype nature art activity, using sunlight to produce unique blue-toned prints. A seasonal ceremony and fire will follow as part of the celebration. This event is free and open to all. While registration is appreciated for planning purposes, walk-ins are warmly welcome. To register, please call 315-369-6008.
The Ilion Little Theatre Presents Getting Sara Married
The Ilion Little Theatre presents a night of fun, laughs and lighthearted entertainment with their new production of “Getting Sarah Married.” The theatre will have showings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday June 20, and Saturday, June 21, 2025, and a matinee beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at the Ilion Little Theatre located at 13 Remington Ave, Ilion New York. Princess Hat Making

Everyone will be crafting those tall pointy princess hats that are so popular right now. All the supplies are provided and all you need is your creativity. Empire Wild in Concert
Enjoy the music the Great Hall of the Arkell Museum & Canajoharie Library on June 21, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. for an evening of music with Empire Wild in concert. This upbeat talented group features cellists Ken Kubota and Mitch Lyon. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the performance begins at 7:00 p.m. This event is FREE! For questions call 518-673-2314 ext 113.
Gloversville Events
On June 20, at 7:00 p.m., Dorn Space, 99 N. Main St., will host Marty Wendell and His Tour Band in concert. Admission is $10 cash at the door. On June 21, at 7:00 p.m., Karpeles Museum, 66 Kingsboro Ave., will host the concert “Songs from the Great American Songbook” with Julia Donnaruma (voice), Adam Siegel (alto sax), and Michael Bisio (bass). There is a $20 suggested donation.
