Dolgeville’s Blueberries, Blues and BBQ Festival
After the hugely successful Dolgeville Violet Festival held in June you might think the village, Dolgeville Forward, and local volunteers might take more then a few weeks off to recover, rest, and bask in the glow of the happy memories shared by all.
That is not the case.
Dolgeville Forward and community volunteers have been getting ready for the Blueberries, Blues, and BBQ Festival to be held on August 5, at Plowe Park, South Main Street, in Dolgeville, NY.
The Blueberries, Blues and BBQ Festival was first established Dolgeville in 2019 and continues to grow. Music in the park begins at 9:00am and runs throughout the day. Along with great music, you can expect to enjoy tempting your taste buds at the Ice Cream Social as well as delicious Chicken BBQ, complete with all the fixin’s.
Farmers play a vital role in our nation’s food system
Also this year there will be special food offerings throughout the day presented by local businesses and restaurants. This favorite local festival coincides with the Dolgeville Farmers Market as well as the Farmers Market Coalition National Farmers Market Week (August 6-12, 2023) which is an annual celebration that highlights the vital role farmers markets play in our nation’s food system.
Something for everyone!
With the farmers market, Ice Cream Social, food, music and fun events, there is something for everyone to enjoy during a great day out in Dolgeville. So, mark your calendars for the Blueberries, Blues and BBQ on August 5 from 9:00am-4:00pm. You won’t want to miss it!
