State of the County Summit - Herkimer

How’s Herkimer County doing today? And how can everyone work together to make it better? Join the Herkimer County community for the State of the County Summit on May 4 and help shape Herkimer County’s first annual community development agenda.

County officials are connecting people and communities within Herkimer County to share solutions and spread the word about the great things happening around the County.

The State of Herkimer County Summit will bring together leaders from across Herkimer County to hear findings of the countywide community development study and plan, celebrate successes and innovative projects, while developing a collaborative action agenda for 2023.

Herkimer County Summit brings people together

County officials invite members of the community and residents of Herkimer county to participate in Thursday’s Summit. The goal is to build connections, shape actions and priorities for local communities and continue countywide community development action, and share ideas.

Summit Priorities

The event will explore six priority vision themes identified in the strategic plan. Together, the Summit will identify priority themes and action areas for 2023:

  • Vital Villages and Main Streets
  • Healthy, Affordable and Livable Communities
  • Thriving Local Economy and Economic Opportunity
  • Authentic and Sustainable Places
  • Diverse Recreation, Cultural and Social Activities
  • Engaged, Informed, and Inclusive Culture

The free Summit will be held on Thursday, May 4, at Herkimer College’s Alumni Hall from 9:00am-1:00pm with 8:15-9:00 for coffee and networking. All Herkimer County leaders and interested community members are invited to attend, but space is limited – register today!
