LivingADK Annual Cap-py Duck Derby

Join in the fun on September 3 from 10am-2pm at the Moose River in Old Forge!

What could be more fun than the excitement of a rubber duck race in the Adirondacks? It’s time to adopt rubber ducks to benefit the LivingADK Annual Cap-py Duck Derby in Old Forge! Each year, thousands of rubber ducks are released into the Moose River near the covered bridge and dam in Old Forge on SR 28 on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. This much loved event raises funds to support LivingADK and its mission to help communities in the West Central Adirondacks.

LivingADK will be the leading organization to foster and support vibrant and sustainable year-round Western Central Adirondack communities by planning, identifying and securing resources to promote economic development, social responsibility and a balance of commerce and nature.

Since 2010, LivingADK has held the annual Duck Derby as their major fundraising event. Enjoy a day at the races with plenty of fun, music, grilled hotdogs, face painting, corn hole and more, while cheering the ducks across the finish line.
