Eisenadler Brauhaus

MVEDD is hosting a free community dinner next week at Eisenadler Bruahaus!

The Mohawk Valley Economic Development District (MVEDD) is inviting area residents to a free dinner on November 10 at 6pm. MVEDD has been connecting with folks living in Fort Plain, Palatine Bridge, Minden, and Nelliston, to learn more about these wonderful communities. Thanks to funding from a USDA Rural Development grant, a lot of work this year has gone into collecting information and ideas from community members.

The goal of the ongoing work is to identify a slate of “placemaking” projects to pursue with partners in participating municipalities. Now that the project is entering its second and final year, MVEDD hopes to move the projects forward and work toward making them a reality.

Locally sourced ingredients make for a delicious meal!

Dinner will feature a dish of bigos, a traditional central European stew that fits in perfectly with the setting of the brewery. All of the ingredients for this fall favorite will be sourced from producers in the Mohawk Valley, including Slate Creek Farm in the Town of Minden, Kingfisher Farm in Sauquoit, Fruit of the Fungi in Lebanon, and the Syracuse Salt Company.

MVEDD will be available to update residents on the progress made so far, and to listen to more ideas about where the community wants to go from here. If participants want to stay updated on progress, they may sign up for future updates, or choose to serve on the project’s steering committee.

Share a meal with neighbors, have some great conversations, at a fantastic location, and let’s see what we can do together!
